Hackers try hard to copy user data of your website, the data include name, email address, credit card and physical address. And when they found out that it is hard to copy user data they would eventually try to crash a website or insert spammming link that would lead to low ranking and eventually Google penalization.

What you need?

  4. IP address of the website

In this tutorial, I will be using window operating system.
Simply search for CMD or in older versions of windows use the RUN program and type CMD . This bring a small box that you can insert your command and execute your command.

The next step is to find the IP address of the website. IP address is the web server that your website hosting company allocated for individual website or blog.

PING can let you find out the website IP address.

In this tutorial i will be using Google IP address ping google.com
After typing in the above command and pressing Enter. You should get the following result.

Ping statistics for 74.125.228.103:
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 25ms, Maximum = 56ms, Average = 38ms

We found out the IP address of Google 74.125.228.103
The next step is to ping the IP address until it crashes
ping 74.125.228.103 -t -l 65500
Pinging 74.125.228.103 with 65500 bytes of data:
It will continue to do this until the site crashes.
You can replace the IP address with the website IP address that you want to crash.

How to prevent ping attack

To prevent your website from crashing is to have large bandwidth, though this is very hard to come by due to how expensive web hosting.
